Since 1998, volunteers have been the backbone of Boxer Luv. Boxer Luv is a family. We provide training and support to a community of amazing volunteers who are committed to making Arizona a better place for animals.
The goal of our Volunteer Program is to engage compassionate Boxer lovers — like you! We need volunteers like you to help us rehabilitate and re-home abandoned Boxers.
There are many ways to be involved, and we thank you in advance for your interest. And if you have a skill or interest you think Boxer Luv can’t live without, we’d love to hear from you.
We have a very real need for volunteers to help out during business hours at our thrift shop. Join a great group and help us:
We also give you the option of flexible hours, so you can work one or more shifts per week or per month. We will be reopening February 3rd, 2021, Weds-Fri-11-4 and Sat 10-4
Your activities could include:
After you volunteer at adoption events and at our kennel — where you learn all about the rescues’ personalities — you can become an Adoption Counselor, where you’ll help match our Boxers to their forever families.
Come interact with our rescue dogs! Activities can include:

Foster families take an unwanted or abandoned Boxer into their home and:
When it's time, foster families say goodbye to their foster dog, so it may go to its forever home — and you can make room in your family to potentially take in another Boxer in need.
Some of these temporary foster dogs may have issues that you can help them overcome. Other dogs may need a little coaching on good manners, while some may need help overcoming their fears.
Our foster families are a very important piece of the adoption process. Foster families are asked to keep the rescue updated about their foster’s habits and personality — you will know your foster Boxer best, and your updates will assist the rescue in determining the right forever home.
In return for the love you give, you will experience the love and gratitude that only a rescue dog can give.
