Happy Tails!

Rescued Boxers in their new homes

Cooper AKA Roscoe Jones

Cooper and Laila

Hello Boxer Luv,
I thought you both would like to see some updated pictures of our babies, Leila and Cooper! We adopted Leila thru Boxer Luv almost a year and a half ago, and three months ago brought Cooper into our lives.  Leila and Cooper are so inseparable, they are always playing and when they (eventually) wear each other out, they lay right on top of each other for naps.  Its the cutest thing!  Both of our Boxer Luv babies have brought so much joy to our lives, we cant even begin to imagine life before them!  Thank you to you both for bringing Cooper into our lives!
Love,
Chris, Julie, and Leila Bylow

Maxi was adopted 12/15/07, here is an update from new owner.
 Boxer Luv Volunteers,

I just wanted to let you know that I am so happy to have Maxi in my life.  He is doing quite well and adjusting very nicely.  I have recently gotten my backyard landscaped and he really loves it.  I am glad I did, because he has a TON of energy.  I almost wish he had another play partner because I don't know if I am enough for him, but we are working on it.  I have him enrolled in a beginner obedience class @ PetsMart that starts this Sunday out in Buckeye, mostly because I want him to get used to being around some other dogs and learning a little control while around them.  Anyways, I will continue to keep you updated and thanks for everything.

Rocky Jones

Hello Boxer Luv-

I just wanted to touch base with you in regards to Rocky Jones. Rocky is amazing as I told you when we first got him. Rocky has acclimated well to our new home and is spoiled rotten. I take Rocky for a walk each night and he is doing well on the leash. There are times when he wants to take me for a walk, but soon realizes that he is pulling me and calms down. Rocky is always excited to see us when we get home and be relieved from his kennel, since he enjoys the backyard and his huge dog bed in our room so much. Jaden our almost 4 year old son and Rocky play each night. They chase each other around and play fight. Jaden adores Rocky so much, and Rocky is incredibly gentle and knows how to play gentle with Jaden. Rocky enjoys his every Sunday trip to his grandparents to play with his cousins, and wears them down as my parents tell us his cousins sleep for three days after playing with Rocky. Rocky had a great first Christmas with us and enjoyed his special gift from Santa, which was organic pigs ears that took him about one minute to devour, as you all know he is a big boy, weighing in at 82lbs, all muscle. I thank you once again for bringing our baby boy into our lives and we could not be more blessed than we are to have Rocky.

Boxer wiggles and slobbery kisses-

Harry,
Happy New Year.  I just wanted to send a quick up date on Taylor, whom we adopted last spring.  After recovering from kennel cough - which was so scary for me having never been through it before --she has been happy and healthy. She has fit in really well with our family and our routine.  She is very patient with the kids, but tends to enjoy a crayola snack every now and then.  She is very curious about most of their toys and we often them "stashed" in or under her bed in her crate!!

She and Rocco (aka Rocky Racoon) get along famously.  They play and rough house until they are both exhausted.  We are very happy to have them both and so thankful to Boxer Rescue for matching them to our family.

Take care and thank you for all the hard work you do!

'king' Boomer

Dear Boxer Luv Volunteers,

Boomer is now six months old, just got 'fixed' and weighs 60 pounds.  He is a joy and truly a family dog or king, depending on the point of view.

Dear Boxer Luv,

About 2 years ago, we adopted a Boxer through you all.  I believe at the time, her name was Daisy Duke.   We renamed her to Patton.   Anyway, at the time, we didn't have any children, but we knew we'd have some soon.   We did!!   We had a little boy October 8, 2006.  Patton and our son Joseph became fast friends.   Patton is so sweet and gentle with our little boy.   They are pratically inseperable.  It has been truly a blessing that we found a dog that has such a wonderful disposition.   We have had no problems at all with the two of them, and we can't wait for Joseph to get bigger so they can play even more together.

Recently we had our backyard completed.   Joseph and Patton would stand together looking out the window watching the workers together.  I attached the picture of the two of them together.   I hope you enjoy.

Sophie

Merry Christmas!

Hello Harry, Sophie is the sweetest dog. I don’t understand why anyone would want to get rid of her. She has adjusted very well. Her and Max love each other. Thank you so so so much for bringing her into our family. I have enclosed some pictures of Max and Sophie. These were taken with a couple of weeks of bringing her home. I think back in October. Max is alot bigger than Sophie now, she actually walks under him sometimes, Sophie is a healthy 55 lbs and Max 62lbs (pretty big for a 9month old) Sophie I think is about 2 one of the paper work that I received said she was born 10/19/2005. Again thank you and have a safe New Years.

Mango AKA Gracie

Dear Boxer Luv Rescue volunteers,

We actually changed Gracies name to Mango and she took to that real well.

Mango is doing really well. She loves to go swimming in our pool and try to get into the bathtub with my 18 month daughter.

Mango loves to go to the park and do a couple of laps around the playground take a one minute break and do her laps all over again.

She loves to play with other dogs. She has been such a joy to have in our family and she does so well with my daughter. We truly enjoy having Mango around.
Thank you for placing her in our home.

Xena and Alistair

We adopted Xena in July of 2006 and along came Alistair as a foster in November of the same year.  Poor Alisatair was starved and suffering from Parvo, but with medical care, lots of TLC and food, he has grown into a handsome boy.  We made a Youtube video so you can see how far he has come in the past year.  Xena takes great care of him and our older Boxer, Elvis makes sure he follows the house rules.  We love being a part of Boxer Luv.  Toni and Steve Goessman

Flynn

Dear Boxer Luv Rescue, Happy Holidays!

Or family is doing well, and Flynn is loved by all. He has attached to all of us well, but I think I am his favorite. Flynn is very calm and well behaved. He loves to go for walks, and it was funny to see him surprised and excited at the same time the first time he saw snow. His favorite spot is definetely the couch though,  He is a big baby.

After

Gilligan was recently adopted from us, attached is a note from his new family and a photo of Gilligan when we first rescued him and now at his new home.

__________________________________________________________

Dear Boxer Luv volunteers,

I don't think I could've dreamed of adopting a better companion than Gilligan. He is just so happy and such a pleasure to have in my household. Not only for myself, but also for my other boxer, Sierra. Everybody that has met him just loves him ande they always say what a gorgeous boxer he is.

We paid a visit to our vet the other day so the Dr. and Gilligan could meet for the first time. Everything went great and we had a heart worm test done and he  is now on heart worm medication. I showed the vet, and everyone else the horrible pictures of Gilligan when he was rescued and the after pictures and they cant believe it's the same dog.

We try to go for at least one and sometimes two walks every day. He is so incredibly well mannered on the leash. He gets along great with my other dogs and he also got along great with my fathers boxer, Sedona. All three boxers had a boat load of fun playing together.

Gilligan is a special addition to my family. Thank you Boxer Luv rescue. You have an incredibly wonderfully and much needed organization.

Sincerely,
Gilligan and Chuck Crouthamel
